I believe math is one of the greatest ways to prove the Bible is the word of God. When studying probability in statistics we come to understand probability is a mathematical calculation to express the knowledge or belief that an event will occurred or has occurred (Larson & Faber, 2009). Unlike any other book in the world, the Bible is the only book to make predictions about the future hundreds of years in advance and have those predictions fulfilled (n.d 2010).  The Bible has 2500 prophecies and 2000 been fulfilled. The Bible is different from predictions made by psychics in the fact they are very specific and none of the predictions failed. A study done about the predictions of psychics it was determined 92% or the predictions failed or were wrong. None of the prophecy of the Bible has ever been wrong. Statistically speaking having a few Bible prophecies happing by chance would be impossible, due to their very specific nature let alone 2000.The best explanation for the fulfillments of these predictions so accurately, is the Bible transcends human understanding and divinely inspired by God, who knows all things including the beginning and the end (Geisler, 2010). The probability of Micah naming the birthplace of the Messiah was 1-100,000. The probabilities of other Bible prophecy occurred are much greater and yet they were predicated accurately 2000 times, this could not happen statistically speaking, so God is the only explanation (n.d 2010).
