The Study of Galatians

Galatians
The Genre of this book is an epistle.  The key theme of this book is that salvation can be obtained through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. That salvation cannot be earned or obtained by observing laws. That the salvation that Jesus offers in for everyone in the world. That we fulfill the law not by human effort but through faith in God.  That through Grace, God gave his only son to pay the price for sin, that through no works of our own can we receive salvation. That through faith we become new and become children of God. The key events and characters are as follows. The apostle Paul finds out that some false doctrine is starting to infiltrate it way into the Galation churches. Paul writes a letter abolishing the teaching of false apostles. He reminds the people of the liberation that they received through Jesus. That through faith only can anyone receive spiritual freedom. That the only way that man can appear perfect before God is through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, not by works or obeying the Law of Moses. That Christian freedom does not excuse or gratify one’s self. The freedom we are given is to serve and love one another. Paul reminds people that becoming a Christian do not insulate one from the troubles of this world. That we may experience more troubles, because there is a battle between the spirit and the flesh.  That a Christian that has the Holy Spirit life should bear fruit of love, joy, peace, self-control, patience.
