I have found out today the best time to plant above ground crops is during the waxing of the moon. The waxing of the moon is the period of increasing light between the new and full moon. The best things to plant in my area between october and febuary is beets,broccoli, cauliflower,turnips,carrots, lettece and spinich. You are suppose to start preparing the ground a month before. I guess this is going to be some very busy months for me. Right now it is cool and rainy, a great relief after the heat wave,that has hit the country. I might just take a nice nap even though I really don't have time. Later I plan to make the starter for friendship bread.
