Butterscotch Brownies
  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 2 cups brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 cups all purpose flour

  • 2 tsp. vanilla

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 1 tsp. baking powder

  • 1 cup nuts, optional

Melt butter in a pan, then stir in the sugar. Heat until the sugar has melted. Allow to cool.
Add the beaten eggs, flour, vanilla, salt and baking powder. Add nuts last.
Bake in a greased pan at 350 for 30 minutes. Cut into squares while still hot. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if you like.
