And ruffled drapes and sewing on the chair
And books upon the stand and mantel
And childrens toys are scattered on the stair
The lived in house has pictures gay with color
And songs to sing and games that you can play
And friendly kindly folks you love to chat with
and brightly buringin fires to make it gay
A lived in house is just a little shabby
but folks who stop her always ask to stay
for they find a wealth of understanding
and love to make it home at close of day
